F.H.S.G.S. OORAH!

Last year during my sophmore year I was given the priviledge to be chosen as part of the girls soccer team for F.H.S. My experiance while being on the soccer team has been,an amazing one. I enjoyed all the hard training and discipline that I took in during soccer season. I made alot of new friends and became close to many of these girls. We had many victories and many losses but through it all we stayed as one. We became a family. Sisters. These girls have taught me that working as a team we can accomplish so much. This year unfortunetly I wasn't able to finish off the season with them, but I stood behind them and supported them the whole way. I take so much pride in saying " Yes i'm part of the girl's soccer team, and these are my girls".

Raisin In The Son Movie Reflection.

I feel that every actor fit their role except for P.Diddy. I didn't like the way he played his role honestly I think that he is a bad actor in general. I can not really put a face on an actor who might  have been able to fit the role. My favorite part is when Walter finally grew up and became the man Mama was wanting to see. I feel that his speech was well said considering he spoke about having pride. The set was everything i expected and maybe even better. It just fit the whole vibe of the movie. I did think that it could have been in one big room the way the book said, but the movie wasn't bad.

Giving Back.

If I had $100,000 I would help my mom pay off her school loan and all her other bills. My mom spent almost $11,000 on her nursing school so that she could be able to get a better paying job and be able to do more for my siblings and I. So I feel giving her that money would be great. She sometimes feels bad because she has so many bills to pay and she wishes she could take us out here and there, so paying her bills will help her relax and not stress as much. I'm not in need of any materialistic things because I have everything I need. A roof over my head, food, clothes, education, and a loving family.
Another thing i would do is pay for my grandmas surgery. My grandma is diabetic and has been having health problems lately, especially now that her mother died a month ago at the age of 105. I would like to have my grandmother around for many more years so i would take any kind of money I have to help her get better. I would even give her a kidney.
That is only around $16,000 so far. What i would do with the last $84,000 is split it in half and put a down payment on a house for my family and I, and also one for my grandma. I would make sure my grandma had a nice big bead just for herself so she wont have to share with anyone. I would make sure my mom has the big kitchen shes always wanted as well. That is what i would do if i had $100,000.

Raisin In The Sun.

I think the play is great so far but it would be better if it was acted out. The drama that goes on within the play within the family members is pretty intense sometimes. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens. I want to see if relationships will change or if things will get better , because of all the conflict that has been taking up most of the play.I think the character i can relate to the most is Beneatha, because of the way Walter tells her she doesn't HAVE to be a doctor. I'm guessing he said that because he probably believes its a male dominated profession. All of my female cousins talk smack to me because i play soccer. They tell me i shouldn't be playing because of course it is seen to be a male dominated sport. Having people believe we shouldn't be doing something we really want to do is how i can relate to Beneatha.

IMMIGRATION.

Immigration is a topic  that i can run on about for days. Like many people i have my own views on it and the people who are so called ''Aliens". On the news you hear stories on immigrants crossing the border and how they are a problem. The people go through many struggles to  get to this country to live the "American Dream". I hate when people complain about immigrants coming in and taking the jobs of the American people. In reality Latinos in general only come here to seek a better future. They work hard whether it rains or shines to be able to better their life and their children life's as well. They aren't criminals nor bad people. They are just as human as everyone else!
